Lowell's commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion and equity in all that we do is a wholistic effort facilitated by our PTA's Diversity & Inclusion Committee, in partnership with a district-wide initiative sharing the same commitment.
Check out the diversity and inclusion wall around the corner from the school office for inspiring student art and information that showcases how our students are learning these values.
Long Beach is a bike-friendly city, and so is Lowell! Ditch your car for the day and walk or bike to school.
Annual art program and competition for performers and artists of all disciplines
Artworks are submitted first to school-level PTAs, where they are first recognized, celebrated and judged by five grade-level divisions, while a non-judged Special Artists division celebrates student artists with special needs.
School PTAs then choose a selection of entries to be judged by local PTA units, which are then sent on to councils and then districts for consideration. The final artworks submitted to California State PTA by districts are then considered for Awards of Excellence or Awards of Merit. Award of Excellence entries then go on to represent California in the final National PTA judging round.
