Being a classroom volunteer is a fun and very important way to enhance your student’s classroom experience. Volunteers who would like to sign-up for multiple openings may do so, however, please remember that this is a commitment to the whole class. If you need to cancel, it is your responsibility to find someone to take your place & notify your Lead Room Rep. Some positions require the volunteer to have VIP status; there are also positions that do not require being a VIP. Thank you so much for volunteering your time. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Lead Classroom Room Rep (VIP):
- Serves as the key classroom liaison & recruits volunteers to support activities
- Communicates school and classroom activities to the class
- Helps collect information for class rosters
- Works to support teacher, classroom VIPs and other volunteers
- Timing: ongoing
Room Finance:
- Works with Lead Classroom Rep to set the budget for the classroom
- Collects classroom funds & calculates activity disbursement
- Reimburses expenses for classroom purchases
- Timing: ongoing
APEX Fun Run (VIP):
- Communicates with Fun Run Event Chair to help support the event
  - Creates class Spirit Banner displayed around the Fun Run track
  - Coordinates classroom volunteers for Fun Run
- Timing: Late October through November - Fun Run 11/21/24
Classroom VIP Coordinator:
- Collaborates with classroom teacher to create & fill Sign-Up Geniuses (Class VIP, Garden Lessons, Meet the Masters, Field Trips and more)
  - Communicates directly with VIPs to ensure slots are filled & executed
- Timing: ongoing
Garden Lesson (4 VIPs):
- Volunteers in classroom Garden Lesson
- Timing: multiple opportunities based on classroom schedule
Meet the Masters (4/5 VIPs):
- Volunteers in a classroom MTM Lesson based on classroom schedule
- Timing: multiple opportunities based on classroom schedule
Book Fair Coordinator:
- Communicates with Book Fair Event Chair
  - Coordinates volunteer sign-ups for the twice yearly Lowell Book Fairs
- Timing: Book Fairs are 12/9/24-12/13/24 & 3/31/25-4/4/25
Holiday Party (VIP):
- Coordinates classroom Holiday Party with the teacher and class volunteers (VIPs)
- Timing: Holiday Parties are typically the week before Winter Break
Spring Auction:
- Communicates with Spring Auction Event Chair to help support the event
  - Selects a “theme” for basket items
  - Secures donations of items or purchases them with classroom funds
  - Creates a “basket” of items as the classroom’s contribution to the Spring Auction
- Timing: Spring Auction 4/25/25
Carnival Booth:
- Communicates with Carnival Event Chair to help support the event
  - Works a volunteer shift at the Carnival
  - Helps recruit and coordinate Carnival volunteers
- Timing: Carnival 5/17/25
Teacher Appreciation Week:
- Communicates with Head Room Rep to help support the week’s activities
  - Communicates all Teacher Appreciation Week activities with the class
  - Purchases gifts for teacher
  - Coordinates gifts and other tokens of appreciation for classroom teacher
- Timing: Late April through TAW 5/5/25-5/9/25
End of Year Party (VIP):
- Plans the classroom End of Year Party with the teacher and other volunteers (VIPs)
- Timing: End of Year Parties in June
