Good evening Lowell Sea Star Parents, this is Mr. Lawson with a few announcements.
Next week will be very busy. The following are a few important dates and events that will come up:
Class placements will go live on Friday, August 28th after 5:00 on ParentVUE.
On Monday, August 31st we will be having a car parade down Monrovia starting from the Appian side and moving towards Broadway from 10:30 to 11:30. We are asking that you stay in your car as well as post something safely adhered on the car (passenger side) that states what teacher and grade you have for the year as well as the student’s name. This will ensure that the teacher will be able to give his/her student a special hello.
School starts online on Tuesday, September 1st.
Keep in mind that the first two weeks of school will be minimum days. Your child’s teacher will let you know of the two week schedule for the minimum days. Due to the pick-up and distribution of supplies, the first week of school will dismiss for grades 1st and 5th at 11:40 to allow for lunch and families to pick up supplies for their students on their scheduled days and for teachers and staff to distribute supplies.
Our office staff will be distributing TK and Kinder supplies on Friday, September 4th, based on Kinder’s AM and PM schedules, stay tuned for more information coming out this Friday via an email.
Please calendar the following student supply, material, and textbook pick up times:
Wednesday, September 2nd grades 4/5 will pick up supplies on Monrovia from 1:00 to 3:00. We will also have Chromebooks available for checkout if you indicated that you needed a device on the district survey.
Thursday, September 3rd grades 2/3 will pick up supplies on Monrovia from 1:00 to 3:00. We will also have Chromebooks available for checkout if you indicated that you needed a device on the district survey.
Remember that Late Star and Early Star information will come out when class placements become live this Friday, August 28th after 5:00.
Friday, September 4th TK/K Late Stars will pick up supplies on Monrovia from 9:00 to 10:00. TK/K Early Stars and 1st grade will pick up supplies on Monrovia from 1:00 to 3:00pm (an extra hour because we are distributing two grade levels). We will also have Chromebooks available for checkout if you indicated that you needed a device on the district survey.
We ask that you please wear a mask when here at campus and adhere to social distancing protocol. All of this information is posted on our website as well.
