Authors & Illustrators Night is a marquee event at Lowell Elementary School, funded by PTA donations and facilitated by the hard work of PTA volunteers. This year's event is a product of the hard work of Lowell Parent and Event Chair Lisa Johnston Hancock. 

Let’s draw cute dogs! After a reading of The Rescues, Shiho will talk about her process of making picture book characters for the book. She will then show students how to create their own cute pup!

Shiho Pate was born in Hokkaido, Japan, and raised in Aichi. Among many other books, she illustrated Ramen for Everyone by Patricia Tanumihardja, which was an Indie Next Pick and a Junior Library Guild selection.
